Designer’s Notes
This emerald green Qipao dress (also known as a Cheongsam) is made from rare Xiang Yun silk, a fabric treasured for its shifting tones and natural finish. Brown or black on the inside and deep green on the outside, it reflects centuries of Chinese silk artistry. The sleeveless cut with a soft shoulder sash gives it a modern refinement, while optional hand embroidery—peony, plum blossom, or orchid—adds personal meaning. More than a Chinese dress, this was the very first Qipao we made in the U.S., marking the beginning of our journey to carry heritage into a new land.
