Xiu He Fu (秀禾服)
The Xiu He Fu is a modern creation of Chinese Wedding Dress that inspired by gowns from the late Qing Dynasty (1910s). It gained popularity in 2001 when actress Zhou Xun wore it in her wedding scenes in the Chinese drama “Ju Zi Hong Le.” The gown’s name originates from Zhou Xun’s character, Xiu He.
Compared to the Qun Kwa, the Xiu He Fu tends to be bolder and less traditional, offering a unique blend of historical elegance and contemporary flair.

Xiu He Fu consists of a fitted jacket with wide sleeves and an A-line skirt with 2-8 panels. During the tea ceremony, the bride sits on the bed with the skirt spread out, symbolizing a prosperous marriage.
The design blends traditional (dragons, phoenixes, peonies) and modern (double happiness) elements, more comfortable and contemporary than Qun Kwa.
